20 minutes into 2017 and the question was asked at the table, “So what are your New Years Resolutions” the same old appearance and performance related goals were rolled out, you’ll know them well
“I’m going to run a marathon’
I’m going to lose weight”
“I’m going to drink less”
“I’m going to eat better”
So it came my turn to answer and without hesitation I answered – I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions they’re pointless, they set you up to fail.
When I reflect on the times I’ve achieved a massive goal like being selected for a team or competing in an extreme endurance event I’ve used a mixture of strategies to ensure my success the main one being a change in identity, I am,…. so I do,…. and I become….. – this article I found on Fitness Nerds sums it up beautifully.
If you want to become one of the 8% that actually achieve a New Years Goal then adopt these strategies and you’ll be well on the way to success!
